Perhaps you should read some of the Koran and Hadith then, WHOicidal?

To be frank, the vast majority of Muslims are peaceable Muslims because they ignore a lot of what the Koran tells them to do, as codified in sharia. No other religion has a full and firm jurisprudence as Islam, which points so clearly to the subjugation of non-Muslims under states of Dar al Islam (put simply, Muslim majority countries) and Dar al Harb (a state of war). As an example, there isnt a Muslim majority country in the world that has full equality between Muslims and non-Muslims. In Turkey, Christians cant build a church, which is a direct edict from sharia.

There is no such thing as a religion of peace...I dont see why Muslims should be held to account for what a small percentage or their lot do when we, in our own back yard have sectarian troubles that have only just calmed down.

As such, all this 'seeds of democracy' bollocks that both the democrats and republicans were coming out with during the Arab spring has been shown to be just that.

Religion of peace innit.

Or course we are all disgusted. I didnt mean to infer that anyone wasnt.

The point I was trying to make is that through the filters on what we base our opinions is twisted, inaccurate and misleading and first thoughts in ISIS and the like is what they do to folks like us, the aid workers, volunteers, teachers and service personnel that have got caught up in this. This is front page news..headlines.

Boko Haram killing 5000 people in the last 5 years, 2000 of them since the turn of last year get a mention but its low key compared to the victims we identify with and then the next story is always IMMIGRATION, like the fuckers are streaming over here to off us too.

I know..Lee Rigby..Charlie Hebdo.. 7/7 and 9/11 all spring to mind and then that combines together to form a picture that says "Kick 'em all out, raise the draw bridge".

It just feels like we are being played like a fiddle and without trying to invoke godwins war, it all feels rather reminiscent

I havent seen much of what Brand has said recently but regarding his saying about MI5 and alienating the 'dickheads', I can only assume he is referring to the Info that came out from that Public body saying pretty much the same thing.... He too is a filter getting his stuff through a filter and believing what he wants as he, like everyone else knows fuck all, other than this situation is a bastard.

And Hani is right, the Saudis are the issue and play bith sides against the middle but its our young lads that go in to these places at the behest of our government and get killed and maimed for corporate reasons and then when there are no conflicts to pursue we hear stories about reducing the Army to 50'000...to save money. Until the next time working class kids are needed to die in some shithole in the east....to make companies, in which our Politicians have a financial interest , even more money.

All the while the Saudi's have everyone dancing to their tune...

well Islam itself is not particularly compatible with democracy, certainly the Islam of poorly educated people, who will just vote for whoever their imam tells them (see Tower Hamlets).

The trouble is that as we've seen in Syria and Egypt, the alternative to the dictatorships is not necessarily great either.

Goose, if these wannabee terrorists are confronted by MI5 at the airport and offered a choice of joining our security network or facing arrest/harassment/deportation then I would say that MI5 are doing their job properly.

We should be RIGHT in their faces.

The Saudis are the root of all evil in this. Islamic state are called terrorists but the Saudis our leaders worship. Fucked up world.

i might only get 3rd or 4th hand versions of the truth, but i know the brand is actually making excuses for these sick fuckers.

no-way in the world is MI5 or anyone else responsible for 'alienating' these dickheads who travel to Syria.

I get bored repeating myself on these threads, but I have been making the same point for years.

America and Britain made a major fuck up when they had a choice of partnering with either Sunni/wahabi Saudi with its illiterate and non-working indigenous people or Shia Iran and its very promising demographic and thousands of years of culture.

We backed the wrong horse because they could deliver OIL MONEY NOW.

Utter fuck up. If we had aligned with Iran/Persia, Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Egypt and Jordan the middle east would be a different place (with problems) and Saudi Arabia would probably cease to exist, other than as a vassal soviet state, who would not have allowed them to export their nasty gulf wahabi poison to their shores.

i cant stand saudi arabia. we should be vocal about those cunts, because at root its those cunts that have promoted the idea that every muslim should believe they have to live under a penal code from the early middle ages.

I think you will find that the majority of people in the world, including posters on WHO are absolutely disgusted by the antics of ISIS/ISIL/IZAL/Daesh and Boko Haram.

What a strange thing to post.

See the reality is that not one of us as any real idea of whats going on. None of us have first hand evidence or real knowledge of what is the reality of this whole shitstorm.

99% of people and certainly WHOers, me included, have no first hand experience of the situation so everything we are being told is being told through a filter.

Whether its BBC, FOX, Russell Brand, David Icke or through any one of the privately owned papers, none of us have any real knowledge of what the real truth is.

We condemn (Rightly so) ISIS beheadings and killings but barely vocal about Saudi Arabia and their murderous ways, which have striking similarities in style.

We dont mind too much about ISIS or Boko Haram walking their way through their respective countries lopping heads of other Muslims and in reality we dont make too much fuss about the Christians of those countries getting off'd either ,maybe because they are..well...You know.

So forget Russell Brand and BBC and any other filter that we care to name, the truth of the matter is that none of us know fuck all about this situation and every opinion that we have is third or fourth hand at best.

The one thing that this is doing is fuelling the likes of the resident site bigots in to getting more and more frustrated about a situation not in their control and in reality as far away from the as any world conflict is right now.

Why do we still accept visa applications from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Somalia etc?

Yeah, why?

Re: Jihadi Johnny
Whoic, I understand where you are coming from.

I won't criticise Shorty on his abhorrence on immigration, mainly because we as a country have been fed a steaming pile of shit as immigration policy.

But you are not allowed to criticise immigration policy without being accused of racism by some.

Leaving aside for a moment, the freedom of movement enshrined in the various EU treaties which are now part of our statutory instruments. We have problems with immigration from non EU countries, which we are not bound by treaty or law to accept.

When it is clear that there is a threat to western countries from a small percentage of Muslims around the world, why do we keep accepting them into our country.

I accept that we can get caught on the back foot once or twice and let a few thousands in before we realise our mistake, but why do we still accept visa applications from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Somalia etc?

Surely the defence of our country must come before anything else and we should err on the side of caution?
